June 2006, I took my first a summer vacation to the sunshine asseverate; Miami, Florida. I experienced a lot of new things on this trip to Florida some bad some good. Miami was much assorted than I expected at first. At that time I couldnt mind why everyone loved Miami so much.
At 4a.m. I took a car ride to Miami with my family in a rented 2006 ford fusion and the other part of my family drove in their own car. I was in the car with my mom and aunts and my associate and cousin-germans were in the other car. I howevertually switched cars because my mom was whimsical so s minusculely and my cousins drove like wind. I was contented with my decision to switch cars until my 16 year old cousin who was cause crashed into a wall that delayed our already commodious trip a couple of hours. The point of my family taking the cars rather of getting plane tickets was so everyone could sight see. I dictum some of the most incredible and colorful places while driving it made me happy that my mom decided to not contact a plane.
As I fell asleep with a big smile on my face I was rouse by a loud tuner broadcast.
A radio announcer said in a deep voice everyone that is outdoors seek shelter immediately and get to a low floor level Hurricane Andrew is approaching rapidly. We luckily found a small shelter while driving through Mississippi. I looked out the windows while in the shelter and all I could see was complete darkness, and the only light I could see was the occasional bright flashes of lightning. Overtime the small shelter got even more crowded than it already was with different families. The weather was so bad that the shelter leader advised no one to leave so we all just slept in the shelter. I woke up to broken glass and wet floors with families huddled up together, so I left with my family in the morning.
