Street vendors have been in existence for a vast time. However, in recent years, with the rapid urbanization in China, a great number of countrymen flood into urban areas to seek for more than opportunities for life. Meantime, in the harsher economical climate, employment in formal sectors shrinks. Street vending, as a self-employed job with low unavoidableness of skills and costs, becomes an easy option to earn a livelihood for the unprivileged population. Therefore, the migration of country-bred people and the lack of employment in other sectors croak to the expansion of street vendors and problems arising therefrom sharpen.
