My first impression of bloody shame was, she is crazy; scarce as I kept reading the flooring I learned there was nothing wrong with her mentally, she was just unhappy. She had both good guys in her life but neither of them determinemed to quit her. Boy One was married and committed to somebody else and too power hungry. Boy Two was too emotional and clingy. When she equanimous up their best features and put them together to form the consummate(a) Boy Three, even he couldnt keep her anxiety for long.
The eleven-year-old girl was random to me at first. She was way too suffer for her age. I re-read the story again and I realized she wasnt just some random girl in the third estate; she was a manifestation of bloody shames imagination. Mary felt up guilty for dating two guys at once so subconsciously she felt as if everyone was looking at her different when in all reality nobody knew. Thats when Mary created this eleven-year-old girl, who knew everything she was doing, as a way to really make her see what she was doing.
Canada was the thing that threw me off the most. If I go on vacation, I go somewhere tropical or somewhere with a lot of history or culture. Mary went to Canada to try and explain herself.
The guilt grew to be too much for her so she heady to take a break, a vacation. At the time Mary went, it was snowing, which at the beginning of the story we learn that Mary tends to merely wear white. Its a way for Mary to clean house herself from all of the guilt and pain she has been enduring. She takes up reading the password because she believes if she starts becoming religious, all will be forgiven for cheating.
Overall, the story is a maculation confusing in the sense that I didnt figure it too much. As I discussed it with the class, I began to understand Marys understanding and actions a little bit more.
