Dead Poets Society is a fiction of an English teacher named John Keating (Played by Robin Williams), who inspires his students to be themselves and change their lives and Seize the Day through his teaching of verse line and literature.Â
Neil Perry, Todd Anderson, Knox Overstreet, Charlie Dalton , Richard Cameron, Steven Meeks, and Gerard Pitts are senior students of the Welton Academy, which is the best elementary school in America and the values is defined by the headmaster Gale Nolan as tradition, honor, discipline and excellence.
John Keating, a former student at the school, begins working in the school as an English teacher. He tells his students to call him O Captain! My Captain! In his class, he is making unusual works for his students in teaching them. An spokesperson of which is he ask the students stand on his desk in mold to look at the world in a contrasting way. In another class Keating has Neil read the introduction to their poesy textbook, prescribing a mathematical formula to rate the quality of poetry which Keating finds ridiculous, and he instructs his students to rip the introduction out of their books. Inspired by Keating, the secretly revive the school literary club named Dead Poets Society.
Neil wants to be an actor but even though he knows that his find will disapprove he still proceed to the audition that is held on his school for a play. He was chosen to be one of the characters of the play. But his father Mr. Perry discovered that he still continued being an actor even his father disapproved him. His father confronted him and said that he will be enrolled in Harvard University to take up a course of Medicine. He pertinacious to commit suicide because he cant suffer his father understand his feelings.
