The Roper, Logan and Tierney model
The second method was, The Roper, Logan, Tierney model. This was selected as methods because it focuses on holistic care and base on the idea of health rather than illness and disease. It focuses on the patient as an individual and his relationship with the five components of the model.



The model of treat developed 12 activities of daily living which are related to to basic human needs. They are maintaining a safe environment, communicating, breathing, take in and drinking, eliminating, personal hygiene, controlling body temperature, mobilising, working and playing, expressing sexuality, sleeping and dying. (Roper, Logan& Tierney2000).
