It can be seen as an avenue for upwards social mobility and a better life thus to a fault known as a route to independence from suffering living lifestyles such as farming. In unsophisticated subject fields, their sparing resources are based on agriculture and some of them willing work as labours in timber companies. Baram is one of the withdrawn areas in Sarawak and most of the locals are still harvesting rice paddy and doing mixed farming. The poverty in rural areas is always twice higher than the urban areas. Since 60 years ago before independence, rural areas were still a long way back tooth in term of economy status compared to urban areas. change surface the education performances are affected by the economic structure in rural areas. The student performances were non that slap-uper than those in urban areas. There are 65 primary schools in Baram but 1:65 schools would fitting to countenance great result with 100% all passes in public examinations.
